Questions

Fair questions, straight answers.

About results

Will Knock get me a job or a visa?

No tool can promise that, and be wary of any that does. Knock helps you spend your effort on employers who have sponsored before, and makes each application faster and more honest. The interviews and offers are yours to win.

I’ve already sent hundreds of applications. Why would this be different?

Because the question isn’t only how many, it’s where. Knock shows the sponsor record before you apply and hides postings that say they won’t sponsor. Fewer evenings go into doors that were never going to open.

About applying

Does Knock apply for me?

No. It fills the form and stops at Submit. You check the answers and send it yourself. Always.

Will recruiters think I’m a bot?

It’s built so they won’t. Bots flood jobs with generic, invented applications. Knock uses your real resume, invents nothing and never sends anything, and it hides jobs that say they can’t sponsor you. An application health check is coming soon to stop you flooding one company by accident.

Can my LinkedIn account get restricted?

Not because of Knock. It doesn’t read, automate or change anything on LinkedIn. It reads companies’ own job boards instead.

Which application forms can it fill?

Greenhouse, Lever and Ashby, which many tech companies and startups use. On other sites, it opens the job and you apply there. We’ll list new sites here as each one is tested.

How does it handle “Will you require sponsorship?”

Today it leaves visa questions for you to answer. Coming soon: you set your answers once per country, truthfully, and Knock fills them the same way every time. AI never chooses these answers. Not legal advice; if you’re unsure, ask your international student office.

Will the AI make things up?

No. Every AI line is checked against your resume. If your resume doesn’t back a detail up, it’s left out and you’re told. You can still edit anything before you submit.

About sponsors and countries

Does a sponsor record mean they’ll sponsor me?

No. It means the employer has sponsored before, according to government data, which is a far better bet than an employer with no record. No badge means we don’t know. Always confirm with the employer.

Which countries does it cover? Does it matter where I’m from?

It covers the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, the Netherlands and Ireland, for international students from any country. Australia and others come later.

About privacy

Where does my data go?

It stays in your browser. If you sign in with Google, a backup goes to a hidden folder in your own Google Drive. Knock has no server holding your resume. Full details

Do I need an AI key? Is it really free?

Free means free: search, sponsor records, the tracker and 10 filled applications a week, with no card. For the AI parts, you make a free Gemini key at Google AI Studio in about two minutes. One honest note: Google’s free tier may use what you send to improve its products. Search, sponsor records and form filling work without a key.

About paying

What’s the Fair Billing Pledge?

The price is shown before you sign up and doesn’t change. The 3-month pass never renews. Monthly cancels in one click. We email you 3 days before any renewal. And you get a full refund within 14 days, no fight, even if you used it.

Pass or Pro?

On OPT or another short clock, the pass: $39 once for 3 months. On a longer one, like the UK Graduate visa, Pro at $15 a month. Not sure? Start free.
